MicroLatch offers the latest in secure fingerprint and wireless access control, it's by far one of the simplest biometric systems around when it comes to installing! and it's so easy & secure to enter fingerprints!

Operation

MicroLatch readers are wireless and powered by batteries. When presented with an authorized (pre-programmed) fingerprint the reader transmits to the receiver which in turn activates the device it's connected to i.e. electric release or magna lock.Think about it, no cables between the battery controlled reader and the receiver, the reader can be mounted on the wall, a post or even on glass, if finding a position for the reader is difficult don't worry you can position it a meter, 3 meters or even up to 30 meters (environment dependant) away from the receiver.

The receiver unit has an on board time delay (5 to 20 seconds, optional) before automatically switching off. Fingerprints can be deleted under the supervision of an administer (first person to be enrolled).
The reader also has a door chime facility which again transmits to the receiver and rings a bell i.e. for visitors, it will also indicate an invalid finger read.
The reader and receiver unit will both indicate battery low; battery replacement is a simple process.
The reader will accept up to 30 different fingerprints (including the 2 administrators) this can easily be increased by the addition of more readers.

The receiver unit can be powered either by the supplied 12v DC plug in transformer or a low power supply & battery back up (not supplied)
The system also allows for optional duress facility, this detailed in the installation and operating manual.
